My 2017 Goals

Here’s what I plan to do with my 2017:

1. Visit 4 museums

I’m one of those people who loves going to museums, and so many of them (particularly in London) are free, so why not take advantage of that?

2. See 3 shows

I love going to the theatre, particularly to see musicals. I already have tickets to see the UK tour of Billy Elliot with my friends in February and some of us plan to see the Addams Family UK tour as well, which I am so excited for!

3. Finish my Silver Duke of Edinburgh

I’m half way through this, and hopefully, I should have it completed next summer. I’m starting my volunteering section in January, when I’ll be working in my local library for 6 months.

4. Have a final draft of my novel

I finished the first draft of my novel, The Bookshop, in November and I’ve started editing it a little bit, but I want to have edited it a few times and have a final draft.

5. Visit a city I’ve never been to before

I love traveling and exploring new places and feel that I don’t really know my own country that well, apart from the areas I have lived and grown up in. Hopefully, this won’t take much as I’m going to be looking around universities so I’ll potentially be going all around the country.

6. Finish my GoodReads book challenge

I’m going to set my challenge at 23 this year. It’s still a lot lower than my ideal of around 50, but I’ve felt happy this year that I haven’t been stressed about reading loads during exam time but have still read a lot of new books.

7. Wear only makeup that is cruelty-free

Animal testing in makeup is something I’ve really been trying to educate myself in the past few months and I’m in the process of transitioning my current makeup, as I don’t particularly want to waste makeup I have spent my money on. I'm going to use those up, then hopefully by the end of the year my makeup bag will be entirely cruelty free! If any of you have any cruelty-free recommendations (that aren’t too expensive!) please let me know!
